Riedel Communications designs, manufactures and distributes the most pioneering real-time networks for video, audio and communications for broadcast, sports, event, theatre and security applications worldwide. The products reflect today’s leading-edge technologies that translate tomorrow's demands into today's solutions. Riedel also includes a large rental operation that provides radio and intercom services, event IT solutions as well as fiber-based and wireless audio & video transmission systems for events of any size up to Olympic Games or World Cups.
MediorNet unleashes the true potential of fibre-optic signal transport, providing a real-time network solution for the integrated transport and routing of 3G/HD/SD SDI video, audio, data and communication signals. Integrated broadcast-quality signal processing tools such as Frame Store Synchronizer, Embedder/De-Embedder, Test Pattern Generator, On-Screen Display and Time Code Insertion at every port eliminate the need for external devices. All this results in a completely new approach to production environments, providing significant savings in infrastructure investments.
Artist is designed as a powerful matrix platform for intercom and the distribution of analogue and digital audio as well as TCP/IP data signals. This system is easy to configure and provides decentralized system architecture with a redundant dual ring fibre network. It can be easily expanded from 8 to 1,024 ports without trunking, providing a single large, full summing, non blocking distributed matrix. Artist provides AES3 broadcast quality throughout the entire system and extensive interfacing including VoIP and professional mobile radio (conventional & P25/TETRA). To meet the requirements of any budget Riedel offers several choices for high-quality control key panels with 8 character displays.
The Performer Series provides the world’s first digital party line intercom system, providing 2 and 4-channel master stations, rack-mount, wall-mount and desktop speaker stations as well as call light indicators and 2-channel belt pack headset stations. In addition to pure party line applications the C44 system interface makes the Performer series the first fully integrated ‘digital’ solution for combined digital matrix and party line intercom. The Performer comes with high quality digital audio, eliminating noise and hum, which is common with analogue partyline intercoms. Perfect side tone-nulling, Remote Mic-Kill and 2-channel intercom operation plus additional program sound on standard XLR cables complete the feature set of this real plug-and-play product.
RockNet is a real-time, low latency audio distribution network tailored to tour and installed sound applications. RockNet provides a universal solution to almost any imaginable audio distribution challenge and behaves very much like a traditional analog active split system. It conveys 160 24 bit/48kHz audio channels counter rotating on a single CAT5 cable. RockNet products are designed for heavy duty road use. Their ruggedized steel enclosures resemble the look and feel of a modular stage box. All devices feature locking IEC connectors for the redundant power supplies. All other connectors are entirely gold-plated and the circuit design is streamlined to ultra low noise and minimum distortion to meet the highest demands in audio quality.
Riedel’s RiLink is the new way to connect broadcast live signals from remote event locations to the studio or foreign studios with home facility. The RiLink Global Fiber Service transports more than just the HD/SD-SDI video signals that would be furnished by satellite links in a conventional production. It also provides additional features like voice communication and Internet access which significantly reduce complexity and costs for planning and operating of remote event productions. RiLink allows bi-directional long-distance transport for HD video, audio, communications and data signals. Compared with satellite links RiLink provides higher bandwidth, lower latency and cost effective flat rate operation.
