You don't have to be at the field tonight to follow high school football coverage this season.
The Press of Atlantic City's high school website - HSLive.me - will have a live blog every Friday night with live updates, video highlights and photos from all of the local games.
New this season, SNJ Today will televise a game live each week on the channel previously used by NBC40 (Channel 4 on Comcast and Channel 40 on DirectTV). The games start with Egg Harbor Township at Millville at 6 p.m. today.
"SNJ Today is all about bringing in local broadcasting and local stories to South Jersey, and this is a great step for us," SNJ Today sports reporter Mike Frankel said. "This gives us a great chance to showcase different teams and bring exciting games to people at home."
Television isn't the only way to follow the West Jersey Football League. Several radio stations will broadcast games this year.
SNJ Today will broadcast another game on 99.9 FM. The Coast, 98.7 FM and 1450 AM will also have live games nearly every week.

One other major change this season is the fact that live games will not be broadcast on 97.3 FM. Assistant program director Mike Gill said the station decided to do more of a "red zone" format show with frequent score updates from several different games.
"The idea stemmed from the Thanksgiving Day special show we used to do," Gill said. "We would have reporters call in from the games and give live updates so we could cover multiple games at once for the holiday. Now, we're adapting that idea for coverage on every game, every week."
So instead of just covering one game, 97.3 FM will be featuring them off with hosts Josh Hennig and John Leon.
"Now, if you have family members on different teams, or are looking for other games for playoff implications, you can do that all in one place," Gill said.
