Tyrell CCT, a creative technology solutions provider for the broadcast and post production industry, have announced a continued expansion of its UK operation with a number of new customer deployments, additional staff and recent move to a larger office space.
The company has recently appointed Malcolm Smith as Business Development Manager for New Media Technologies in the UK. Building on its success in the Irish market, Tyrell CCT opened its UK division in May 2009 and has since recorded strong sales momentum and accelerating market demand for the company’s technical and support services.
A number of broadcasters and post-production companies including the BBC, Al Sharqiya Television, Pepper Post, Directors Cut Films and Azimuth have engaged Tyrell CCT to design and deliver integrated digital media solutions that enhance productivity and streamline workflows. Tyrell CCT’s services department has also experienced increased demand for support and maintenance services with customers such as Directors Cut Films, Bruce Dunlop & Associates, Speade, Big Buoy and Diverse Production signing agreements for Tyrell CCT’s comprehensive support packages.
As a result of this growing market demand Tyrell CCT has recently moved to a much larger office space. Still based in central Soho, Tyrell CCT’s UK office is now located on Berwick Street and provides a dedicated demonstration and meeting area together with improved facilities and a greatly increased space for system set-up, testing and integration. The new office also affords considerable room for future expansion of the sales and technical teams. Tyrell CCT has also strengthened its supplier list adding number of innovative new products from leading manufacturers including Aspera (File Delivery System), MOG Technology (Video/File Ingest), Grab Networks (Encoding) and Marquis (Media Integration).
Malcolm Smith, the recently appointed Business Development Manager for New Media Technologies in the UK, has recently joined the Tyrell CCT team bringing with him 25 years of broadcast industry experience ranging from outside broadcast engineering to sales of high-end broadcast systems. Malcolm’s new role at Tyrell CCT will involve close liaison with clients to provide solutions for the exploding area of new media including ViewCast’s award-winning streaming media solutions, which simplify the complex workflows required for the Web-based streaming of video content to computers and mobile devices.
