Samsung will live stream the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event for the Galaxy S7 series at the Mobile World Congress in 360 degrees for PCs, smartphones, and virtual reality (VR), the company announced.

Those who own a Samsung smartphone that works with the Gear VR headset can download the Unpacked 360 View app via their Oculus Gear VR app to tune in with their headsets.

The can also download the app for the event from the Google Play Store and watch from their phones. They can do the same on their iPhones, the South Korean tech giant said.

Those tuning in via a PC can go to the company's official website and choose their viewpoint, either to the stage's left, centre, or right, or from the auditorium.

Earlier this week, a Samsung executive told South Korean reporters that the upcoming Unpacked event will present new information on the firm's VR business.

The tech giant will reportedly use the opportunity to promote its VR headset as well, by giving them for free to those who preorder the new handsets.

Samsung is expected to unveil the full-metal Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, rumoured to come with a removable water- and dust-proof microSD slot.
