Friday, Nov 13, 2015

Silver Peak, the leader in building broadband and hybrid wide area networks (WANs), today announced the appointment of former Juniper Networks executive Anthony Sarkis as Sales Director for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). Sarkis is tasked with accelerating growth and adoption of the company’s industry-leading SD-WAN solution in ANZ.

“Many companies in Australia and New Zealand are eager to find ways to use the Internet to connect their users to applications and reduce their networking costs,” said Doug Farndale, Asia-Pacific Vice President. “These are exciting times in the industry and specifically for Silver Peak. We are thrilled to have someone of Anthony’s experience and proven track record join our team.”

“Silver Peak is best positioned to capitalise on the burgeoning SD-WAN opportunity,” said Sarkis. “I see huge opportunities for Silver Peak in Australia and New Zealand, and look forward to working with partners and customers in the region to build on our success in reducing the costs and complexity of WAN connectivity by using broadband."

During an 18-year IT career, Sarkis spent eight years at Juniper Networks, working in channels, commercial sales, as a wireless sales specialist and looking after major accounts. Earlier experience included positions with Aruba Networks, Tech Pacific Australia, RPM Technologies and Timelink.
