FOR-A Corporation of America announces that broadcast television station Bolivia TV has purchased a variety of video production equipment from the company as part of the station’s transition to HD. The La Paz-based station provides public broadcasting content catered to a wide audience, including newscasts, public affairs programming and cultural shows. Bolivia TV’s FOR-A equipment order included video switchers, character generators, signal processors and routing switchers.
Included in the purchase are 10 HVS-110 portable video switchers. Boasting exceptional cost performance and an integrated main unit and control panel, FOR-A’s HVS-110 unit offers mixed HD/SD input, frame synchronizing, re-sizing engine, 2.5D wipe effects, DVE, Chroma keyer and DSK. The switcher features a multi-viewer, clip memory feature, and built-in Web server that enables users to program their unit remotely via a PC or tablet.
Bolivia TV also selected 10 MFR-3232 routing switchers – a 32-input, 32-output unit that includes an interface function for synchronous operation by linking multiple cases, tally and automatic source name tracking connections with peripheral devices.
The broadcaster also purchased 10 VTW-350HS HD/SD character generators. The VTW-350HS’s lightweight, compact design and rich toolset makes it an ideal fit for Bolivia TV’s live applications. The unit employs an intuitive user interface, and its software provides a wide array of text and graphic functions, more than 260 transitions, template control and general-purpose file interface.
Bolivia TV also purchased 10 FOR-A FA-9520 signal processors. The FA-9520 3G/HD/SD dual channel multi purpose signal processor features up/down/cross/aspect conversion, full color correction and automatic video optimizer (AVO), in addition to its functionality as a frame synchronizer.
“FOR-A has worked with Bolivia TV in the past, and I think that they’ve come to trust our products in their reliability,” said Mario Rodriguez, FOR-A’s Latin American Sales Manager. “I’m confident that our equipment will help Bolivia TV transition to HD production smoothly.”
