There is a difference between large amounts of data and Big Data, and it's a difference that counts: Big Data can be used to customise digital offers to reflect the personal needs of consumers, patients, and learners. These economically tantalising prospects are offset by data protection concerns: How much are we willing to share in order to take advantage of these new options? Who actually owns our data? And are there even ways to prevent the misuse of data?
Experts from McAfee a subsidiary of Intel Security; Signal Workshop; Beyond Verbal Communication; Zynga; Future Cast and professors from the University of Vienna and the Kyoto University discuss these questions on September 8 at IFA in Berlin.
