IHS Towers announces another expansion in Latin America with the acquisition of Centennial Towers operations

IHS Holding Limited (“IHS Towers”), one of the largest owners, operators and independent developers of shared telecommunications infrastructures in the world by tower count, acquired the tower operations from Centennial Towers in Brazil and Colombia.

The acquisition means 602 additional towers in Brazil and 217 in Colombia, strengthening the position of IHS Towers and its core experience in both markets. This latest transaction comes shortly after IHS Towers acquired Skysites in Brazil, and is proof of the company's commitment to expanding its business in both Latin American markets. Centennial Towers has extensive experience offering mobile network operators a wide variety of infrastructure solutions, including built-to-suit towers, rooftops, DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems), small cells, and station collocation and leasing.

These recent acquisitions highlight and demonstrate the continuation of IHS Towers' growth strategy, in addition to evidencing the 20-year history of growth and excellence in telecommunications infrastructure in emerging markets. IHS Towers has developed complete ecosystems with regard to its towers, including green energy, backhaul, monitoring and active equipment, which will be used in the company's new Latin American markets. This acquisition will further expand the offerings for IHS Towers' customers and ensure that the company is well positioned to support the future implementation of 5G, offering customers new points of signal transmission and distribution, as well as support for the fiber installation.
