At CES 2021, Quectel Wireless Solutions (stock code: 603236.SS), the leading global provider of IoT modules, announced that the company has launched three new modules 5G Radio (NR) stations from the sub-6 GHz spectrum, including RM500Q-AE, RM502Q-AE and RM505Q-AE , to drive the massive deployment of 5G smart connections around the world.

With the momentum of the commercial modem 5G Snapdragon ™ X55 Qualcomm ® , the three modules provide ultra - high speed, low latency and improved technology aggregation operators (CA), and are now ready for sampling in a wide range of applications enhanced by Mobile Broadband (eMBB) and IoT as Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), 4K / 8K Live Streaming , Online Meeting Applications, Telemedicine, Smart Transportation, and Industrial IoT (IIoT).

With independent (SA) and non-independent (NSA) mode capability, the three modules support global coverage of the 5G NR frequency bands of the sub-6 GHz spectrum, LTE-A and WCDMA and provide reliable 5G solutions for IoT customers of all the world. The modules offer other key features:

• Coverage for global 5G frequency bands
• Multi-gigabit data rates of up to 5.0 Gbps
• DL 4 × 4 MIMO for 5G NR and LTE-A bands
• GNSS multi-constellation capabilities
• Numerous interfaces: USB 3.0 / 3.1, PCIe 3.0 and eSIM
• M.2 form factor, compatible with Quectel LTE-A Cat 6 / Cat 12 / Cat 16 modules

All three modules also integrate GNSS capabilities, and the RM505Q-AE supports L1 / L5 GPS signals to provide more accurate positioning services. This ensures that industrial terminals such as rugged tablet PCs and on-board computers can operate in weak signal environments such as city center valleys, forests and canyons.

Currently, the RM502Q-AE has obtained IC / FCC / PTCRB / GCF / RED / RCM certifications, while the RM500Q-AE and RM505Q-AE have obtained CE / RCM certifications. These globally released firmware baseline (FW) mandatory certifications help customers quickly enter local markets and reduce the cost of device development and certification.
