Salem Media Group announces a New Talk Station in Portland

Salem Media Group announced that Portland, Oregon's newest conservative talk station Talk 1640 AM (KDZR) launched December 4th, 2015.

"We are proud to be launching our new station to serve the Portland community with quality news and business programming," said Dennis Hayes, General Manager of Salem Media Group of Portland.

Along with local news, traffic and weather, Talk 1640 will bring new voices in conservative talk to the Portland area, including Hugh Hewitt, Mike Gallagher, and Dennis Prager, as well as other business programs.

As part of the Salem Radio Network, Talk 1640 will also be the only Portland radio station to air the GOP primary debates on December 15th and March 10th.

Talk 1640 joins the Salem Media Group of Portland family that includes 93.9 KPDQ, True Talk 800 AM, 104.1 The Fish, and 93.1 El Rey.
