SiriusXM will offer listeners nationwide comprehensive play-by-play and talk coverage for the 2015 PGA Championship, the final major golf championship of the year, running August 13-16, on Sirius Channel 208 and XM Channel 92.
SiriusXM's live coverage will cover all four days of play from the Straits Course at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin. Lead host Earl Forcey will anchor the play-by-play broadcast and PGA Professional Charlie Rymer will serve as analyst. Former tour professionals Mark Carnevale, Carl Paulson, Dennis Paulson and 1979 British Ladies Open champion Maureen Madill will provide live commentary from around the course.
SiriusXM's Championship broadcasts will offer 30 hours of live play-by-play from the course, more than ever before. The coverage will air Thursday and Friday from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm ET and on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 pm ET through the conclusion of play. Subscribers can access the broadcasts on satellite radios, through the SiriusXM app and at SiriusXM.com.
With one of the strongest and unique fields in golf, the PGA Championship currently has commitments from 98 of the top 100 players in the Official World Golf Rankings. The Championship makes its third appearance at the Straits, a throwback links-style course off the shore of Lake Michigan that has also hosted the U.S. Senior Open and will be home to the Ryder Cup in 2020.
"The PGA Championship's extraordinary field of competitors, playing at a unique and exciting venue like Whistling Straits, makes the season's final major one of the year's most anticipated events," said Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM's President and Chief Content Officer. "SiriusXM's broadcast team will present more hours of live play-by-play than ever before, and with a programming schedule featuring shows hosted by Hall of Famers and some of the game's best instructors, we will give our listeners a level of access and insight that no one else can."
Beyond the play-by-play coverage, the SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio channel will provide fans with an extensive schedule of daily golf talk and PGA Championship analysis throughout the week. Highlights include:
World Golf Hall of Fame member Ben Crenshaw, who has six top-10 finishes in PGA Championship play, will host his show, Crenshaw on Golf, on Tuesday at 2:00 pm ET.
Six-time major winner Nick Faldo, who was runner-up in the 1992 PGA Championship, will host Nick Faldo Radio on Wednesday at 2:00 pm ET.
