Project Overview
In 2005, ESPN planned the construction of a production facility in Los Angeles, California. Construction is currently in progress and is expected to be completed by 2009.  The building which will cover an area of about 120,000 square feet will include 

• Two high end television studios and a radio studio
• A dining and entertainment centre with ESPN Zone as the theme
• Production facilities  including control rooms, editing suites, graphics area and screening facilities

Project Details
The top three floors will accommodate 70,000sq ft of production facilities consisting of two large studios of areas 7500sq ft and 5000sq ft respectively. Additionally, they will have television production supporting components—master control facilities, editing facilities, a screening and newsroom area, and production space. The production locations of the building, such as outside balconies and glassed-in areas, will overlook LA Live, STAPLES Centre and other parts of Los Angeles to provide for a suitable television backdrop.

The bottom two floors will be home to an approximately 30,000sq ft ESPN Zone, having a retail section, a dining area and an arcade. ESPN production offices will also be located on the second floor.
